Air Quality Model Support Center

The development and application of air quality models includes scientific and technological knowledge and information in different professional fields. When the model involves the application of air pollution laws and regulations, in order to be trusted, how to choose an appropriate model and standardize its simulation process during use must be defined by certain specifications. The purpose of the Air Quality Model Support Center is to integrate and improve the related resources, to provide long-term provision of relevant information required by "Air Quality Modeling and Simulation Standards", to assist in the promotion of the "Allowable Pollutant Increase Limits" in the Air Pollution Control Act and standardize requirements of air quality models applying to environmental impact assessment. In recent years, in response to the analysis of the causes and sources of pollution related to fine suspended particulates (PM2.5) and ozone (O3), the understanding of changes in the impact of transboundary long-distance transmission on Taiwan, and the real-time simulation impact assessment of air quality, etc., the Air Quality Model Support Center provides substantial help.
